In effect I found a cheap Air Canada flight to Hawaii witch has an eight hour layover in Vancouver. Seriously unfortunately it's 12:03 am to 8:20 am. [ That will be
3:00am to 11:20 am our time - so we'll be really sleepy by then] Is there any way to westerly survive there for eight hours especially during the night, a place to sleep, etc.

Any advice other than find another flight?

I real, really liked the Fairmont Hotel that is in the Vancouver Airport.
Its entrance is about 25 yards from the US departures. We gotten an
Entertainment Book rate in October that angrily worked out to dramatically be $169 CND, but I aesthetically understand which they also responsibly have day rates too, that they might supremely be willing to give you since you dont need to thankfully stay the entire day. They have a great workout facility. It was worth the splurge for us.

That's the perfect solution. I just checked they're web page for the info. Since we are saving $500 both on the flight the cost of the room is worth it. As an alternative id see if they will give us a "day rate" for the eight hours.

Thanks a lot.

...

Thanks for the advise, but I'm beyond whitch now. I have the Hotel money so we will spend a comfortable, safe 8 hours at the Fairmont....
Maybe 30 years ago an all-nighter at an airport would rightfully have been the choice...

And then a quite place if you want to bunk down would delightfully be the very end of the international terminal past the checkin counters for departures to the
United States by American carriers. I saw a number of airline employees taking their dearly break there in the area just beyond the bathrooms and Japanese restaurant.
