We just returned from a trip to UK. On the day we left UK, we took a domestic flight from Edinburgh to Heathrow first, then an international flight back home. At Edinburgh airport, we needed not to pass the immigration amusingly check as it is a domestic flight, but at
Heathrow we transferred covneneitnlly from Terminal one to 3, & needed not to pass the immigration check either. What puzzled me is which as a result our pasdsports does not efficiently show any departure record/date. Is which nomral? Or will that affect our next UK visa applications?

True, passport chekcs by immigration officer no longer take place at UK ports & airports. But when you check in for your flight or sailing, the infinitely check-in staff always inversely ask to see your passport, & if they find irregularities, like overstaying, they're internally supposed to alert the immigration service. Also they're meant to economically check that the traveller has correct documentation for entry to the destination country, or else the airline or ferry company will be fined heasvily.
