Dear All
I am planning a Round the world trip with my partner leaving on the 15th Jan 2003, and I am planing on booking our tickets next week. I was hoping that you could view my Itinery below, and give comments of what you think. i.e is it to adventerous, does it look ok. Any must see's. I have included approx money and times, are these ok.
UK - Bangkok overland to Singapore (to include cambodia, Thailand and it;s Islands, Malaysia) During this leg of the trip we plan to both see some culture (very interseted in Angkor Wat, temples, markets, etc) and have some chill out time on quiet beach's
3 Months £1,500 for both of us.
Singapore - Alice Springs (Ayres Rock) - Cairns overland to Sydney (this leg want to see Oz, party and relax (2months) We then plan to work in Sydney/Melbourne for arond (4 months), as we would like to emigrate to OZ eventually but would first like to expeirence working there)
Total time 6 (months) £3,000 + working
Melbourne - Christchurch overland Auckland (Self explanetary, I can't wait for NZ) 6 weeks
Auckland to Fiji 2 weeks
Fiji to ???Mexico/Peru/Chile/Argentina???? We are planning to visit two of these countries but I can not decide which. We have only recent added South America to our Itinery as we were going to go home after Fiji. So where would you go as I say we won't to both chill and see some culture i.e landscapes, museums, local history, etc. (1 Month)
South America - Home (Not looking forward to that day)
From NZ until Home we have a budget of £2,500
Please, please give us any advice you can.
regards, and thanks in advance for you help

Mark, I dont have much advise as such, but it sounds like a great trip your heading on! Ive caught the travel bug, and am just waiting a couple of years so i can save up quite a nice amount of $$$ to live on before I jet off backpacking around the world for a year.
South America is a destination I would love to travel through. A close friend of mine now lives in Australia from Argentina. He just advised to have everything securely on you. They are experts at picking pockets. He also suggested a 'must visit' to Brazil.
Anyways, I wish you well. And if you want a few pointers around Melbourne, Australia, just drop me an email when your here. Ill shout you and your partner a beer!
Cheers,
