I have a friend who just came back from Alaska (ok he was on the way back on the US a bit and left Alaska several months a go, but only now I see the pictures
).
The place looks amazing! There is a real wild there, and when not full of snow the place is amazingly green.
This is not the standard place for a backpacker, but sure worth a visit.
