Hello my fellow backpackers. I am planning a one-month backpacking trip in south-west china including provinces(Guan Xi, Yun Nan, and Si Chuan). The trip may be extended to as far as Tibet if time and $$ allowed. Just wonder if anyone has made a similar trip and any info will be greatly appreciated. If someone are planning a trip in the same region, we may join each other at some point. Thanks.

Hi, when are you planning on taking the trip? I posted a few days ago because I'm also looking to go backpacking in china sometime this year . I'm fairly flexible on timing, ideally sometime summer/autumn. I'll be there for two weeks (would like more time but work doesn't permit it).
I have friends here in London who have travelled to the mainland a few times and highly recommend Sichuan and YunNan.
