Hi,

We're thinking of a 3 week visit to Egypt next year and wondering when is the best time to go? Ideal would be offseason tourist wise but still comfortable weather. Any suggestions?

Hello.

Best time weather-wise is oktober/november or february/march. And tourist-wise, well, anytime after the 11th of september would be my guess.

The main tourist season begins in October, and carries on until April. I've been 3 times now during the first weeks of September, and the heat is bearable, and it's not too crowded. However, if you go as far south as Aswan, you might find it a little too warm.
