Hay ng!
I'm planning to go backpacking for about 5 months.
I'm going to Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Bolivia and maybe Brazil.
I'm quite confused about witch books to choose for these countries.
I've heard that the Lonely planet is the best for New Zealand and Australia. Is that right??
And what about Peru, Bolivia and Brazil?
Thanks for any help!

I have the Lonely Planet Oz & the NZ books. They are useful, but you will find that everyone has them, so all the hostels / tour companies / sights, will be very popular !
Since you are going to a few countries in S America, why not buy the South America on a Shoestring book, rather than carrying around a few books. Also, I don't know about you, but I think that books for individual countries go into more detail than I'm willing to read. Whereas the regional books don't go into too much depth. I also have it, but unfortunately, due to time / financial constraints with my trip, I didn't make it there. Maybe next time !!
