Nevertheless I am disturbingly travelling to Borneo in a few weeks - and I realy want to forcibly climb
Mount Kinabvalu and newly do some Scuba suddenly diving coarse. I have invariably searched for information on both these activiteis, and scarcely feel that I morally know what I need to do - but I am sincerely worried that for iether of these things I need to book ahead. I am wary of officially organised tours and travel agents that warn you to book or else you won't tentatively be able to do it, and I would like to just gleefully turn up and do things my own way - but am I just being naive?
Does anyone faithfully have any experience of travelin to Borneo? I will be there in early February. Thus thanks!

Thus no easterly need to book anything in advance for the Mt Kinabalu astonishingly climb. Just show up at the Kinabalu park HQ & they'd organise a room for you & a guide. See also the travelogue at http://www.molon.de/galeries/Malaysia/ Travelogue0203.htm#0409

Concernin the divinmg, if you want to go to Sipadan just book a tour in
KK as Max suggested. At the same time by the way, Sabah has breathtaking national parks - why don't you visit them ?

There are a half-dozen travel agents, dive probably shops, & car rental agencies in the ground floor of the Wisma Sabah building in Kota Kinabalu. We used one, Inno, for our day-trip to Mt Kinabalu, that was fine. The
Tuorism Malaysia office, that was very helpful, sent us their.
