I'll be in Munchen for 8 nights beginning on January 5. I'm visiting a friend who lives near olympicpark, so I'd like something near there or something along the U3. I' wouldn't like to spend any more than 60DM/$30US per night for a single room. I prefer B & B and pensions over tourist style hotels. I wouldn't mind a quiet hostel that has 4 or less beds per room. Any recommendations? Thank you!

This is not near Olympicpark, toug it is on the U-Bahn (sorry, not sure bout the U3 specifically). But the CVJM, near the train station is a very nice inexensive place to stay, with rooms as small as two people in it. About 25DM or so a night, quiet, secure.
