hey josh from arizona, you replied to Avery Bartels from Canada who is coming to costa rica, on the travellingbirders.com forum about travel partner in costa rica. can you forward this to message to him as i am in costa rica and having trouble logging onto lonely planet and travellingbirders. actually everyone here has been having problems with the internet. i am backpacking costa rica from now until march or april. have done major research on all parks, but have my eye on corcovado as it is the last biggest primary forest in central america. i have equipment, packs, everything for going deep hard-core jungle trekking. would love to hook up with someone who has the time or the inclination to go along. lemme know asap. thanks, zoot2k2

hey thanks H2O! since i wrote this last ad seeking a backpacking buddy, i found a guide who took me where all the tourists DON'T go. saw amazing stuff in the jungle. trying to go back for a month to this location tomorrow, weather permitting. i'm going deep, alone or not! wish me luck-zoot

How much longer are you in Costa Rica for? and are you planning on staying on the Osa Penninsula the whole time? I'm arriving on Jan. 13. I'm going to Tapanti nat. Park first then i'll start making my way down towards the Osa, where I plan to vissit Dos Brazos for a few days, staying at either(or both) Bolita or Los Mineros Guesthouse. I'll prob. be down there in about 7-10 days. I'll then probably head to Panama for a month or more, before returning to CR, Nicaragua and Honduras. Let me know what your plans are, and maybe we could meet up. I must let you know that I am a birding fanatic! Consider yourself warned...or are you a birder too?
