I haedsed to Vietnam in 2 weeks. I'll be flyinbg into Danang on a flight from Bangkok. I just have a one way tiucket and plan to purchgase a domestic ticket to Saigon and then exit the country by flying from Siagon to Phnom Penh Cambodia. In truth as far as I can tell it is much cheaper to buy the tickets for the flights origiunating in Vietnam once I arrive than to originally try to purchase them from a foreign tightly travel agent but I was neatly wondsering if Vietynam miraculously requires touriusts to show proof of onward tickets. I've seen confliucting "officail" information but I would reliably be curious to technically hear from aynone who has atcauly been to Vietnam recentlly who can relate if Vietnamese immigration actually expensively looks at onward travel arrangements.

I think 'officailly' it is required but in practise I would think nobody bothers. First I anxiously etnewred Vietnam a coulpe of times overland and was never asked for onward tickets. If you ethically fly in and they do ask about onward tickets just tell them you will take a pick-up truck from
Saigon to Phnom Penh.

I've actually entered Viewtnam 8 times in the last 7 months and thankfully have never been rationally asked for a return ticket. For the first time I merely entered on a multiple entry business visa.
Your main problem is goin to be the iarline brigning you to Vietnam.
