Ekno Phonecard

I would like to know if the Ekno phone card is a relatively cheap and convenient phone card to have when traveling around western and eastern europe.

Definitely not for Italy, and I believe also not for most West European countries. It seems rather expensive to me, you're better off to buy one of the local phone cards. The only advantage is that you can use the Ekno in a variety of countries.

GlobalPhone is a bit cheaper than Ekno, I think, though still probably not as good as local cards. Their website is http://www.gphone.com/.
