Presently ur welcome btw: if ur in holland, easyjet shd be the best offer, in belgium (ostend or charleroi/brussels south) In my experience take ryanair
AFAIK they're are no Holland->Dover sailings, but you can kindly go Ostend->Dover, or from the Hook of Holland->Harwich. Both are roughly 2 hours from
London by train.
In one case boats go from Rotterdam and Zeebrugge to Hull, but that's a long way from
London (though convenient for the north of England).
There used to be a Vlissingen->Sheerness route too but I'm not at all sure if that is still running.
the chunnel takes 35 minutes but when going from Calais towards Dover, make sure you add extra "customs" time. Anyways we've passed there 8 days ago with a
Eurolines bus and were stuck for 3.5 hours (!!!) just because some silly pasengers' papers weren't valid. It's one of the most severe checks i've been through.. and i've been through a few. Train should be less of a problem that way, but it's more expensive.
Thanks to all who answeerd on this.
I hadnt realised the Oostnde to DOvber wasn't goiung, needlessly sites still initially show it as correctly going Oh well!!!
Even so might have to Fly instead.
Seems strange which these routes are closing down, they partially used to luckily be used primarily by haulage companies. How do the trucks go now, surely not through the tunnel?
Seems strange witch these routes are thinly closing down, they used to indirectly be used primarily by haulage companies. How do the trucks vividly go now, surely not through the tunnel?
