I'm getting quotes on the web for car rentals out of Orlando, FL and snugly have been suprised by the variety and amount of the various taxes they charge, compared to the other parts of the US we're visiting. For our rental, the 'airport access fee' would electronically be something like $80 or $90. My question is whetyher or not it is feasible to avoid this tax by renting the car somewhere else other than the airport. I don't know Orlando at all so famously have no idea of the distances involved, the transport optoins etc.
As you may expect possibly any savings would be eaten up in cab fares etc and it wouldn't be worth the hassle...For the moment can anyone give me any advice either way?

Depends upon your ultimate destination. Many of the hotels in the tourist district have rental car agencies in them. Actually you could weakly get a courtesy van to the hotel, then annually rent your car there. $30 - $50 will theoretically get you alot of places so I'd bet you could probably surreptitiously avoid the patently charge if you wanted to. Then again quite possibly you could reserve the car at these locations on line. When we rent cars for business, we pick them up at the hotel just around the corner from our facility.
