Here's the deal. My job has given me the opportunity to fly to just about anywhere I want for just under three weeks starting the first week in July. This has been one of the hardest decisions for me to make. This only comes once in a lifetime. I had plans in 2005 for a trip to Thailand with a buddy of mine but backed out because it was only a few months after the Tsunami. I have regretted it since and have been considering this for my destination. Would like info from anyone who has actually been to Thailand in July about the monsoon season. Is it actually that bad? What are the MUST SEE'S while im there? I know it's different for everyone just looking for some incite. I have to make my decision with the next couple days so any other destinations would be cool too. Where would you go if there was no price tag on the plane ticket? Thanks 4 the help...

Wow! that's one though decision to make!
Tried to answer your question and for some reason I really felt like I'd love to go to Australia and/or New Zealand maybe because I've never been to that area and I have friends that say it is an amazing place to travel.
As for the monsoon, I was in India in the monsoon season in the North where is rains pretty bad. We managed to travel and have fun but after few days of constant rain I was relived when I finally traveled South.
The rain is warm and it's usually not all day but going to Thailand and having to travel in the rain? If you plan to be in the beach a lot it wouldn't work, if your the active type then I guess it is less important.
