hello, i am just wondering if i there are any airlines that have direct flights that i can take from accra to kampala or even nairobi. secondly is there a web site that is searchable for these flights. i made the mistake of trying Expedia and Priceline. Expedia doesn't even recognize Accra as an airport. pathetic.
As far as I know (I tried to fly from Accra to Entebbe in 2002) there are no direct flights. I flew South African Airways via Johannesburg.
SAA no longer flies directly between Jhb and Entebbe, but goes via Nairobi. If you can get a flight from Accra to Nairobi, it will be easy to get to Kampala from there.
BTW, I think that Accra and Kampala are probably the two most pleasant cities in Africa.
Hi Veronica, I've just checked out Kenya Airways as I remembered they would be starting to fly to West Africa, so that is a possibility. They have a website but I'm including a section of an article I found on google.com. I've been from Heathrow to Nairobi with them and they were fine. Pat.

Kenya Airways will be operating direct flights to the Ghanaian capital from Nairobi every Monday and Saturday using the new 737-700. The flights will depart Nairobi at 16.55 on Mondays and 8.30 on Saturdays. Kenya Airways has expanded its route network with a view to improving its market position in Africa and worldwide. Network development has further been enhanced through cooperation with other African airlines like Air Tanzania, Air Malawi and Air Botswana.
