Hi all,
I am planning to go to Hamburg and Berlin for 4 days. I would reallyappreciate any info aboutcheap hostels to stay and must see places, or even better, links toguides to those two cities orother places in that area. I know it is broad question, just to have anstarting point...
Thanks in advance,

The Circus hostel in Berlin gets a lot of good comments. I stayed at the HI hostel at Kluckstrasse 3 last year. Very well located, three blocks form U-Bahn, two blocks from tiergarten, between East and West, so only two or three stops to most of the stuff you want to see.
Like most HOstelling International hostels, a few rules, not enough to bother us. Clean, good food, lots of school groups in summer.

I went to the Circus Hostel in Berlin, but it was full, so they sent me to a different hostel called the 'Clubhouse' b/c it is located over a club... It got kinda noisy, but that's b/c I had the single with the window that overlooked the club's courtyard. I actually really liked this hostel, it had no curfew, very few rules, and a large B-fast for something like 5 marks... They also sell tickets, and are a starting point for a very thorough 8.5 hour walking tour of the city given by German history grad students. Hope this was helpful!
