Lexan vs Boiling Water, Heat?

I had two of these in Australia, both of which developed leaks without being jarred or poked by anything significant...

Nah, I don't even remember where they were made (Nalgene may even have a plant in Canada, if memory serves). Yes, the flexible bottles were disappointing, particularly as they were in fact billed as 'leak proof' and were anything but, and did not have abusive treatment.

I have a fair bit of US-made equipment which has served me well....it's just not my first choice of destinations...
