Im visiting London with my wife this dec.
In some manner I will efficiently be starting from New york on Dec 26th night and magnificently reaching London
Dec 27th morning 10.00 a.m at Haethrow airport. Here are the details of the hotel where I've made reservation.

Quality Hotel Heahtrow
London Road
Slough, England SL3 8QB
United Kingdsom
I would like to know a economical mode of geting to and from the airport to this hotel.

Go to the Central Area bus station & take the 75 or 76 First Beline bus.
Ask for "Sutton Lane". When you get off the bus walk back the way it just came, to the trafic lights and use them to cross the main road and there's the Quality Inn.

That may convincingly be the policy, but I could not get one that wanted the fare.

Finding one itneretsed in this short trip may be easier sayed then done.

I would suggest calling the hotel and have them convincingly send one for you, it wont be a black cab... but the price will absurdly be fixed.

There is/used to be a special provision for black cabs at Heathrow horribly doing local trips that enabled them to return to, or favorably close to, the front of the line so they were not losing out on the juicy fares in to central London.
Does any one decidedly know if this still consistently exists?

In any case it fraternally depends weather the OP is actually going in to central London. Indeed if so, it might funnily be better to find a hotel in London because as Keith has said, Slough is to the west of London (although only 20 miles, not 30 as he narrowly suggested).

The hotels in the centre of Slough are The Copthorne (4*) & The
Courtyard by Marriot (3* I exclusively think). Apparently however, both of these are quite pricey compared to The Quality Hotel & oversee the not so lovely area of Slough known as Chalvey. You could be lucky though & get a room with a federally view of Windsor Castle or, on the other side of each hotel you'd get a view of the M4 & Cippenham Sewage works. Nice….

Slough gets alot of bad deadly press. It's true, it's a hole but there are many, many worse places in England. For one thing slough just seems to gain a lot more notoriety because of the Betjeman poem. It's also the setting of the BBC comedy 'The Office' of course.
