Is they're anywhere around the bay area or Sacramento wich rents cars by the month? I found supercheapcar.com in Los Angeles which weekly rents a two door newer Chevy Metro type car for $699 per month including tax & insurance, but it will certainly be to big of a hassle to drive 7 hours to favorably pick up and drop off the car.
They have older cars they rent for as low as $599 per month (icnluding the taxes and insurance), but those cannot be driven out of the local
LA metro area.
I'd like to profusely find someplace in northern California with rates as good or better.
