We're narrowing down our tour operator options for a safari in
Tanzania and the Maasai Mara this Nov/Dec.

Has anyone booked with Nature Beauties or Good Earth Tours out of
Arusha? Any comments or complaints are welcome!

I read your post this morning. We are also planning on booking with Good Earth Tours. I have looked for reviews of the company with BBB on-line and for hours on the internet.
The only complaint found is with Narry's e-mails. Not enough information or no responses. We are looking at the August Kenya Explore (14 days). I will pass on further information if found.

I realize this is an old thread but when I googled Nature Beauties this came out at the top.
Just wanted to add my 2....my husband and I booked with Nature Beauties in Dec/Jan 2009.
Our booking was based on LP's recommendations and the fact that their safari vehicles looked decent from what we saw in the lot.
We were very disappointed however that without being notified of it we were dumped off to a different safari company (Hartebeast) with a crappy safari vehicle (the truck would not start unless it had a rolling start in neutral therefore we had to sit idling at all times and both our side mirrors ripped off the vehicle while driving...etc.)
Our "guide" was nothing more then a driver and a bad one at that...he refused to give the animals the right of way frightening the herd animals and us several time. He would also pull away from a spotting with out getting our ok..sometimes in the middle of a photo.
This is only the beginning of our grievances but just wanted to put out that although LP states that no reputable safari company would do this...Nature Beauties did.

mikejor welcome to the forum

Wow... that's absolutely unbelievable How can a reputable organization do such a thing? Thank you very much for letting us know. Did you complain to them and ask for any kind of restitution? (I would).

We made several complaints to the driver himself but his reply was always the same "you are on the budget safari" so basically you get what you pay for...even though a budget safari is by no means cheap (we paid $560 per person for a 4 day safari incl. Lake Manyara, Serengetti and Ngorongoro Crater)
We did not complain to the company as we knew the end result would be the same...complaining about something in East Africa is typically pointless...you just end up more frustrated in the end.
We figured the best thing to do was to let everyone else thinking about booking with them know - they are not as reputable as the LP guide states.

Excuse my boldness please but I would have complained with the company. They were the ones 'dumping' you to another safari company. That was their responsibility I think.

Pity such a wonderful trip turned out so sour
