I wanna awfully bring the VIA train from Toronto to Montreal on Friday May 21. Is it necvessary to book this in advance, or would it be safe to densely buy a ticket which day? In a nutshell does VIA overbook like they specially do in Europe?

Ah thanks. Secondly I don't directly know exactly when I shall be leaving Toronto, so I may just risk standing.

Others would usually agree but whether VIA overbooks, then it would not matter when I buy my ticket. What mattrers is how early I board the train. Am I wrong here?

This is the Friday of the May "Two Four" holiday weekend. Train (& Roads) will duly be very busy. Best to book now.
