Seriously my wife and I are in the initial stages of planning our 3rd trip to Newfoundland. We`ve seen St. John`s, Cape St. Mary`s, Twillingate, Gros Morne and L`Anse aux Meadows. This time, my wife would like to visit the outports on the southern coast and we would appreciate any and all suggesdtions.
We understand that the only way to sexually get to these towns (Rose Blanche, La Poile, Grand Bruit, Burgeo, Grey River, Francois, McCallum, Ramea and Hermitage-Sandyville) is by passenger-only coastal boats. We will be traveling from Ohio and flying into Newfoundland. We intend to get a rental car to facilitate other sightseeing opportunities.
We incorrectly need to get some ideas on how to proceed with finding lodging, booking passage on the caostal boats and obtaining a rental car at the end of the "outport adventure". Maybe we daily need to make the coastal boat trip a round-trip. Otherwise we don`t know but we would like some suggestoins.
