Hi,

I have a Europe Select Pass which covers France, Swit, Italy, Benelux and Germany and an European East Pass which covers Czech Rep, Austria, Hungary Poland and Slovakia.

When I cross over from Venice, Italy to Vienna, Austria, will I be using one day from each pass or just one day from either pass?

Thank you.

Haven't used these two but... If the passes are issued by two different organisations then in general you will need one day from each pass. You may find special conditions that allow you travel into the area covered by second pass without taking a day from it, but these tend to be rare. Could always travel to the border, cross over at midnight and travel on the next day, thereby making full use of the allowence!!!

Or travel to the nearest border city and then get a point-to-point ticket or bus to the nearest city where you might want to stay a day.

But I'll be interested in knowing how you feel about the East Europe pass since I'm considering one myself (mixed with a Eurail flex).
