I'm wondering what the best shirt fabric would be to minimize wrinkles and, at the same time, minimize drying time. When you're traveling and washing stuff out in the sink, these things can get pretty important! I've got a couple Ex-Officio AirStrip shirts (85% nylon / 15% polyester) but they are EXPENSIVE. Any other ideas? If you happen to know, how do those ideas compare with the AirStrip?

I tend to stick with tried and true cotton; yes they get wrinkly but those wrinkle-removers that come in cans are not bad and light, and a HELL of a lot cheaper than those 30-second-dry space age fabrics.

Taking a moment's reflection, Wade Guthrie mused: I'm wondering what the best shirt fabric would be to minimize wrinkles and, at the same time, minimize drying time. Try www.SierraTradingPost.com ... they have Coolmax tee shirts there for US$12 most of the time ... plus a fairly wide range of other performance clothing. Many of them are seconds, though, but functional. I am not sure if they ship Internationally.
