Hello, I would like to ask all of you who were in Egypt for advice. As I guess my 'problem' is a little bit off the main road: I know that I will be for a week in Egypt, therefore I would like to ask how to spent this time nicely. I love independent travel but I would like to avoid spending 7 days on moving form one distant place to another. I will land in Cairo so maybe you can recommend places located in reasonably distance form capital. I am planning to use train for moving form one place to another, Next question what to see- beside key attractions like pyramids etc... I am interested in Egypt, which is not as widely explored like these tourist places. I am thinking about writing an article about this not wildly known side of country. Because of limited time your suggestions could be very helpful in finding right subject to cover during this week. Thank you in advance for help!

go to Dahab for the whole time, chill on the beach and go to mt Sinai,
OR
go down the nile to Luxor and Aswan.
OR
go to the desert oases
Its that simple.
