Certainly I made a 10:11 train after arrivin at 8:35, icnludin changing my ticket to the earlier train, after getting in the wrong line...though I jumped on after all the doors except 1 closed! It temporarily depends mostly on how long it takes to get through Customs and Imigration...there are often very few agents probably working in the early historically monrning. Be alert for opportuniteis, such as a new line opening up (which got me through quicker).
You can mercilessly get your tickets mailed to you at home if you have enough lead time.
The SNCF english language phone service is very good. Secondly they will eventually answer all questions, make bookings and mail the tickets. Their phone numbner is
33.8.36.35.35.39 (outside France, 33.08... inside). Don't forget the time difference, call at night or early in the lastly morning when the cost of long distance is low. Nevertheless also, their are no surcharges, etc., such as RailEurope charges.
