I found that many people have similar dilemmas as to the best way to plan their bakpacking trip.
How to plan their time and how to choose from all the alternatives the places that they should visit and for how long.
In a place like Europe for example you can travel from east to west, from north to south and inside a state that you love to see.
The main idea is to decide in advance what is the most important places that you want to see or to achieve.
For example one can say that the most important thing for him in his trip is to stay on low budget at all times so he can stay as long as possible. In this case I’d recomend traveling through East Europe or if talking about Asia to start with India as it is much cheaper than some of the surrounding states.
If one says that the most important thing he wants to achieve in the trip is letting go and openning the mind to other cultures and other ways of living then it doesn’t matter where you go just stay out of the cities as much as possible and travel slowely in the countryside taking the time to stay for a while in every location and meet the people.
If you have always dreamt of seeing the antiques in Athens then build your trip arround athens.
Before going on the trip ask yourself what you want to achieve and what you want to expeince and you’ll be fine.
One of my favorite states in Europe for example is Italy and the ten days I’ve spent there were hardly enough so on my next visit to Europe I can plan there an antire month moving from south to north absorbing everything.
If it is your first visit then you may plan to visit some major locations so you’ll have a great time and know what are the places you’ll plan to return to and travel more thoroughly .
Everyplace you’ll reach will enable new things for you so remember there are no mistakes just opportunities.
