The reason for travelling

I've ever travelled many countries and had a good time.But recently I'm confused because I don't have any purpose of travelling.So please tell me the reason you travel.

you travel to return as somebody else. (But it never works)

Depends...it's like how many psychiatrists does it take to change a lightbulb? First the lightbulb has to WANT to change...

Once you start travelling, you will realize your reasons... Even if you think you understand another place or culture... trust me you don't until you have actually gone there and experienced it for yourself... Travelling opens your mind to many things.

To become a better world citizen, something we Americans do not do very well at all. (This is also why, at the age fof 46 I am persuing learning the German language, and persisting until I can really speak it conversationally.)

I have a German sister-in-law and a couple good German friends. This means I have people to pracice with.

I am of the opinion that a major reason that Americans don't learn language well is the difficulty in using it. That is also one reason why there is more bilingualism in places like Texas, Florida and California. (exposure)

Learning a language with little hope of exposure to native speakers is very difficult.

So I am learning German because I have friends and relatives to talk to.
