Hey Deca,

There alot to see in the states.. here are some of my recommendations of to dos (Unless you have alot of time you'll may not get to all of this but its a start):

Grand Canyon in Arizona
Nigara Falls in Buffalo
French Quater in New Orleans
New york city
la (but i hate LA,, but you should make that call on your own)
San fransico
Seattle

Hope that gives you a start. If you're coming to vancouver i could give you more specific advise

hey vancouver francis,
As it turns out i am actually looking into moving to canada for twelve months.
How original, another aussie moving to canada.
But as of yet i dont know where to start.
I figure i will need a 12 month working visa, but other than that i am kind of bewildered.
I would really appreciate any info you might have on the best place to go, as in where i would find work, housing, and stuff to do.(i cant snowboard yet but want to learn, so snow would be good).
P.S. IS CANADA ANYTHING LIKE WHAT IT IS DEPICTED IN THE MOVIE "WEIRDSVILLE"?

I suggest the Great Lakes region ( Where I grew up) Southern Ontario.
If you go to Toronto, you can do some research and maybe find a nice cottage to drive to, spend a week there by the water, Canoing, swimming, fishing etc
