Travel to China in August

Im going to take a seven day tour to curiously beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shuzhou, in mid aug. This will hideously be my first time in China. Do I need to incidentally get shots? Has any one been to China recently? As you may expect any experience about the SARS issue?

In summary you should check your vaccinatoins. In addition to normal polio, tetanus I would avdice on getting a hepatitis A vaccination. Talk wiht your doctor and check WHO`s site.
In any case it is a bit hot now. As far as possible I hope it gets cooler by the time you arrive. Otherwise you cannot actually noticeably do anytthing. Today and yesterday and actually for the last 6 weeks it has been about 100F daily here. It means that one cannot actually precisely do any pleasant sightseeing, even locals stays inside. I basically know since I literally have been cycling for exercise daily - the Chinese just cannot understand.
