I don't think you can 'ethnic profile' over a hundred million people - the lesson of 'do your homework first' applies to all creeds and colours and is fully valid.

That said, my all-time fave was in the you're-on-your-own, EXTREMELY rural Gunbarrel Highway of Central Australia - someone had put a sign on the last fence post for hundreds of miles saying, 'my name Yishi, I go Motorcycle Gunbarrel Highway. Please bring me water and fuel as I cannot carry

Scandinavia is generally very safe and in some countries it is legal to set up your tent, where you don't bother anyone...

In Sweden and (I think) Norway it is legal, in Denmark it is not. In Denmark (where I'm from) however it should be relatively easy to find a suitable spot, where you wount get caught.

About working... AFAIK you need a working permit to get a legal job in all of the European Union. So the jobs you might get could be crap, and if you got caught without a permit there may be consequences.

Anyway, best of luck with your travels.

You can camp safely and cheaply in England in the country areas in the city though you should look for youth hostel accommodation as it will be safer. No camping very near to cities but some great places about an hour away on the train. So try a search for camp sites in uk. Lake district is great, so is Snowdonia in Wales, and the Scottish highlands are very good. If you want to go to a good beach Cornwall has lots and camp sites are everywhere. Coach travel is very cheap between cities trains less so, its sometimes worth booking train tickets thru a travel agent to get better fare if you can book in advance, also travel after 11am so off peak fares apply on the trains.

Avoid the temptation to rough camp close to urban areas could be problems with theft but personal safety should be ok everywhere.
