Thanks to every one who advised me on gettin a Veitnam visa in BKK.
Similarly just 1 small point: if I`ve left my passport at the Vietnamese embassy for a few days, is it OK to travel to the coast & check in to a hotel with only a photocopy of my passport - or will their singly be problems doing this?
In other words think I have always been asked for my passport at Thai hotels.
For sure thanks in advasnce for your advice on this.

Once again your passport. The number prinbted on which is what the hotels are really entirely itneretsed in easily recording.
