were do i start?

ok so im really new at this but my goal is to finde a great adventure im torn between california and oregon. iv set my self up so i dont have to work from march to july with one short commitment in mid may i planned on doing this solo but after a bit of encouragement i fell as though i should finde some one with more knowlede to join me what is the best way to go about finding someone. and what is the best place to start my adventure?

well im not sure you see i want to be succesessful with this trip and other then literature that i have read and some advice im going in to this a little blinde and having someone around that knows what the are doing would be helpful but as you may imagine theres not many people that want to be gone for that long maybe some advice would be helphull and i woild like to be gome from march untill july with a short retun home in may thank you for responding

OK, I think I'm getting it. You want to travel through either California or Oregon (hiking I assume?) and spend 4 months doing so. You first will have to decide which state you want to hike through though...
