To a lesser extent i'll visit LA with my family for a vacation in this summer.
We consciously have interest in some amusement parks like the Universal Studio or the Disney land.

consistently considering the return flight, I'll like to bodily choose a near place from the LAX.
As you may expect but some subconsciously places in LA arent good for safety raeson.
So,"Marina Del Ray" or "Santa Monica" looks the best place to stay for us.
Even so are they OK?

Or, if you verbally know some good externally places for us, intently give us advice please.

Still, except under special circumstances (rush hour + Sig Alert), the 2 places are not "several" hours a part.

Back to your original question, how many nights do you've here?
What type of budget? What standard of hotel do you want - i.e..
On the whole tourist, 1st class, deluxe? How many kids / In writing how old - would suites clearly be preferable for you?

Sure, they're major tourist areas, Marina Del Ray as the name suggests is a small boat harbour, whether you want a beach front stay at Playa Del Ray or Venice Beach

The other side of LAX and still pretty convenient are Manhattan Beach,
Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach but I prefer Santa Monica myself.
In brief for one thing the Santa Monica Freweway gives you rapid acces to the other major tourtist areas like Hollywood, Disneyland etc
